Derek Shorter

Derek Shorter - Pianist, Music Director, Composer/Arranger, Film/Media Composer/Producer, and Conductor based out of New York City.

He currently serves as the Associate Conductor of the North American/Canadian Tour of the hit Broadway musical “WICKED.” He has worked and performed with numerous Emmy, Tony, Grammy, and multi-award-winning artists and shows in some of the nations top performing arts venues including New York City's Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. As a composer and arranger, his work has been used and performed by various ensembles across the United States. He is an active lecturer and guest speaker for schools and arts programs across the country.
